    2018
On January 21, 2018, the Southern Transitional Council gave President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi a week's deadline to replace Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher, whom the Transitional Council accused of corruption, and to form a government of technocrats. On January 30, the southern forces took control of almost the entire city of Aden, and the clashes stopped at that time, after mediation provided by the Arab coalition. Based on this mediation, the southern forces handed over three camps they had taken control of, and lifted the siege on the presidential palace in Aden, "Ma'ashiq".
